greet at the airport in Los Mochis by your staff.

excellent and so was their location.At every
station we were met by very friendly and knowledgeablestaff.
We liked especially the driver who took us down
to Batopilas. His love for the

I just wanted to let you know that our family had a
wonderful time duringour trip to El Fuerte
and Barranca de Cobre. Kristina, Jose Luis and hiswife and Jesus were all wonderful and made us feel very
comfortable. TheHotel El Fuerte was
beautiful, the food was very, very good and the staffwere wonderful. We enjoyed the trip down the river and the boat
trip onLake Dominguez - and the barbecues on
the river were fantastic! We willnever
forget Cristina, Jose Luis and his wife and
Jesus - they are veryspecial people - they
were like part of our family.
The Barranca de Cobre was incredible! We enjoyed the train ride andespecially enjoyed the trip down to Urique. We were able to
visit asmall
Raramuri school and a Raramuri home where we bought baskets.
We
had a wonderful time and will never forget out tripto Mexico.Thank you for everything you
did to make our trip enjoyable.

(Note: We use the word
Raramurithroughout as the most accurate name of the indigenous people of the
Copper Canyon (what they call themselves, not the more commonly used
"Tarahumara", which is actually a word the Spanish created))
Please note that while many of our
trips start with your arrival in Los Mochis, we can modify ANY itinerary
to start in El Paso or Chihuahua, if that is your preferred starting
point. Please note that because of the greater distances to many
areas in the Copper Canyon from those two cities, itineraries which
start from there may require more transportation time, and may be more
expensive due to the increased transportation cost. These increased time
and money costs may offset any benefits from lower airfares to these
cities, but we will do what we can to keep your trip cost down.
